The follow-up to 1999's "Neon Ballroom" was co-produced by singer / guitarist Daniel Johns and David Bottril.

"Diorama" notes the first production credits for Johns, while Bottril had already worked with MUSE, TOOL and the SMASHING PUMPKINS.

SILVERCHAIR collaborated with composer Van Dyke Parks on this album, resulting in various orchestral arrangements and power ballads, marking a shift from the post-grunge of their previous albums "Frogstomp" and "Freak Show", but the logical step after the orchestration on " Neon Ballroom ".

The album spawned the singles "The Greatest View" and "Without You". "Diorama"
